Summary The City of Portsmouth is seeking bidders to respond to BID # 39-25 Dewatered Biosolids Hauling. Bids are to be submitted via the City's e-Procurement Portal via https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/cityofportsmouth. Bids will be accepted until 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. Background The City is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide pricing for removal and transportation of wastewater treatment plant Dewatered Biosolids from both the Pierce Island Wastewater Treatment Facility located at 200 Peirce Island Rd, Portsmouth, NH, and the Pease Wastewater Treatment Facility, 135 Corporate Dr, Portsmouth, NH. Dewatered Biosolids is to be transported to the Waste Management's Turnkey Landfill at Turnkey Way, Rochester, NH. The Peirce Island Dewatered Biosolids are stored in 40-yard open trailer. The Pease Wastewater Facility Dewatered Biosolids are stored in a 30-yard closed container. Removal of Dewatered Biosolids shall be done at a minimum once daily, four days a week from the Pierce Island WWTF and once daily, one day a week from Pease WWTF. Additional days of hauling may be necessary based on volume of sewage sludge collected at each facility. The City will notify the vendor 24 hours in advance if additional removal will be needed.
